Hi. Would you support removing the copyedit notice from the Restorationism article, now? Quite a bit of work has been done on it since the notice was posted. Mkmcconn (Talk) 03:20, 24 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's a lot better. Completely different article now. I went ahead and removed the notice. --C-squared 12:05, July 24, 2005 (UTC)

Religious Pluralism - Article Improvement Drive

[edit]

Hi C-Squared, I wanted to inform you that we have worked out a new outline for Religious_pluralism, which you support for the Wikipedia:Article Improvement; you are invited to take a look at that new structure, propose changes and participate in implementing it. Your expert knowledge on religion would be most welcome. --Robin.rueth 13:33, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Black Pope

[edit]

I was just coasting through Talk:Society of Jesus and noticed you wondered "what specifically in the article has anything to do with a "black pope"?""the Black Pope" is a nickname for the head of the Jesuit order who is supposed to be the one really in charge of the Catholic Church (see various nutters such as Jack Chick ad nauseam). Judging by your use of the indefinite article and lower case letters you seem to have understood it as referring to a Pope from Africa. It doesn't. The Jesuits never really had a habit. Generally however they wore black and were nicknamed "the Blacks". Hence the Black Pope is the head of those dastardly intriguers the Jesuits. That's all. Thought you might like to know. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sf2k screenshot.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sf2k screenshot.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:14, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Sf2k frontpage.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Sf2k frontpage.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:00, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
